"I set out to plan a small addition to my home. [...] Immediately I found no one would even consider spending a moment to design a plan I could submit to the local Building Department for the required permit. No Architect or Designer wanted anything to do with it, with responses like “We only take on new work”, or “it’s just too small of a job”. Fortunately for me I had begun discussions with Wayne at Vencon Construction to supply materials to install a [ICF] foundation. With his encouragement, and support I made up my own plan and permit submission. After a few minor adjustments, I had my permit in hand.
 
My next big hurdle was excavating the rock hard clay. Vencon to the rescue once more. They completed the “big dig” in a couple hours that would have taken me a month to complete. I had considered installing the [ICF] blocks myself (having taken a day training session in Toronto) but, I think, wisely decided to hand over forming and concrete work to Vencon.

I have not before met a group of construction workers as pleasant and professional. They were always happy, courteous and friendly. When they said they would be on the job, they were. Luke, the lead hand on the job, could quite often be found happily singing to himself. When it came to doing the finishing work on the interior concrete steps, Luke was more than a concrete installer. He is an artist. Luke made sure to leave the best quality work he could, putting a perfect broom surface where a broom could not fit. My total experience with Vencon Construction was nothing but positive in every way, I’d recommend them to anyone - anytime. If I have the opportunity to work with them again in the future, they’ll be at the top of my list."
